At the end of the shoot I did for Nikki’s yoga studio, we got the idea that she could do some poses in the pool at Cal Anderson Park. I liked the way a few of them turned out.
I didn’t even notice the reflection when framing the shot, but now I love it. It seems like every density of blue is represented here.
With a fuzzy ferry far behind. Does anyone know what this is? Was it just shore power, perhaps? This was a pier.
I don’t know why. They just called out - “Take a picture of us!” Maybe they just wanted to be famous?
In SoDo, tracking old rail lines, Andy and I found these wonderful doors on the side of a building. You can see they’re angled - they can shut easily in case of a fire. The counterweight can hold them open - barely. Tracks would have hugged the edge of the building long ago.
In that same alley. This must be the homeless guy who just ate that pizza. Either that or he’s some indie rock hipster. Can’t tell the difference these days…

Just a photo of a place I love. Eguisheim is a tiny wine town in Alsace - a town of fifteen hundred, dense, walkable - there were a few cars, but just because people come to buy wine. If there were a tram nearby, there would have been half the number.
